Dr. Whitsett lectures extensively on current concepts in refractive surgery across the country. A certified physician with the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is also a member of the International Society of Refractive Surgery, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, President of the Eye Laser Center of Corpus Christi, and has been appointed to the Practicing Ophthalmologists Advisory Committee on Education by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Jeffrey
C. Whitsett, M.D. is a dedicated surgeon specializing in refractive
surgery. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of
Oklahoma, and then moved to Phoenix, Arizona to complete his internship
at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. After completing his residency
with the Dean A. McGee Institute in 1990, he accepted a fellowship
at the University of Texas-Houston affiliated with Houston Eye Associates.
Dr. Whitsett was
an investigator on the FDA protocol for excimer laser surgery to treat
myopia and astigmatism with PRK and LASIK. He was recently named
one of the top 100 refractive surgeons in the country by VISX.
